Judging Criteria

As with all competitions, story telling is the most important factor when judging an entry. Don't be too concerned about the production value. Our judges understand that this is a youth film competition.

How long can the entry be?

Not longer than 5 minutes including credits

I have additional input on the program.

Each year in September we hold a teachers meeting at the office of the Arts Council. We hope you can stop by. We will e-mail you an electronic survey to gather your valuable feedback to the program.

When are the entries due?

Please refer to the competition page. We usually publish the entire schedule in early fall.

Who is submitting the entries?

For younger students, we encourage the teacher to do it. Older students usually want to do it themselves.
