The Arts Council of Fairfax County will present the ArtsFairfax.Org Stage at the Celebrate Fairfax Festival on Saturday & Sunday, June 12 & 13, 2010. Local performing arts groups will entertain on stage while a Children's Activity Tent and Arts Council Resource Area will keep audiences of all ages engaged during the programs. At the Resource Area, visitors can sign up to win tickets to the Arts Council’s International Children's Festival. The Arts Council is giving away 20 pairs of tickets to the 40th annual Festival to be held on September 18 & 19, 2010 at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.
So come on out and enjoy the sights and sounds of our talented neighborhood performers at the ArtsFairfax.org Stage, participate in fun children’s friendly art activities, try your luck at winning tickets to the International Children's Festival, and find out first hand what is happening in the arts community in Fairfax County.
The Children's Activity Tent and Art Council Resource Area are open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Create Your Flower Bouquet
Children will be able to design and assemble their own flower bouquet from a variety of colorful materials. This activity is suitable for children 5 and older.
Design Your Tag
Children will create and decorate their own individualized tags by gluing, coloring, and using 3-D letters. This activity is suitable for children 5 and older.
Doodle Zone
Children will be able to colorize animals with crayons and markers or draw their own images on large rolls of paper. This activity is suitable for children 2 and older.
