The 23rd Annual Arts Advocacy Day, organized by Americans for the Arts, came to an end yesterday afternoon after a great advocacy day on the Hill. The Arts Council of Fairfax County participated on both days – during the seminars on Monday at the Omni Shoreham Hotel and at the advocacy day on the Hill. A big shout-out goes out to Americans for the Arts for their well prepared presentations, hands-on training, and thorough informational materials. It was also great to see a huge room filled with arts advocates from across the country who had traveled long ways to make their voices heard.

The staff of the Arts Council was present at the 2010 ArtWorks Pre-Conference Sessions, Conference, and Arts Advocacy Day, which was produced by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and Virginians for the Arts.
