The Youth Orchestras of Fairfax (TYOF) launches into a new era this year, its seventh season, with the appointment of Dr. Peter Wilson as the new Music Director and conductor of its flagship ensemble, the United Youth Symphony Orchestra. “We are thrilled with the selection. Peter will be a wonderful addition to our orchestra,” Board President Charles Fidler commented. “His enthusiasm and superb musicianship as a performer and conductor will help our young musicians grow and bring the orchestra to a new level of musical excellence.”

There is a great talk tomorrow evening at GRACE. The panel discussion"The Gallery Outside: Acquisition or Exhibition"  is facilitated by Dale Lanzone, President of International Public Art Marlborough. The panelists are Susan Harrison (Manager Art in Architecture Program, US General Services Administration), Mike Shaffer (Artist and President of Washington Sculptors Group), and Welmoed Laanstra (Independent Curator and Public Arts Project Curator, Arlington County, VA).
