The Workhouse Arts Center's ArtNotes concert series presents the U.S. Navy Band Brass Quintet on Saturday, February 4 at 7:30pm, on the second floor of Gallery W-16.The quintet's repertoire includes works from the 16th through the 20th centuries, with many of the compositions arranged by its members. Directed by Senior Chief Musician David E. Kolo, horn, the quintet includes Musicians 1st Class Brandon Z. Almagro, trumpet; Christopher M. Sala, trumpet; Colin J. Wise, trombone; and James H. Hicks, tuba. Quintet members are often featured soloists with the Concert Band and in Navy Band recitals. This is a free concert, but tickets are required. Ticket holders should arrive early as unused seating will open to the public 15 minutes prior to concert. |
