Ann Rodriguez - Memorial Fund
As you may be aware, the Arts Council of Fairfax County and the Fairfax community have lost a great champion of the arts and a civic activist with the passing this October of our President & CEO, Ann Rodriguez. Ann’s vision and energy have served us all in many ways -- as she led the way for increased government and private support to the arts in our community, brought her expertise to many organizational boards, and played a leading role in the development of an arts policy in Fairfax County’s Comprehensive Plan.
Ann’s vision and commitment as President & CEO of the Arts Council was in the area of advocacy for greater support of the arts and for the accessibility to the arts by all Fairfax County citizens. In recognition of the tremendous work in this area of our mission, the Arts Council is dedicating all gifts in Ann’s memory to a new ‘rebranding the arts’ effort that will include marketing and technology upgrades that will allow the Arts Council to keep all our constituents apprised of funding opportunities, arts educational programs, cultural events, and issues affecting the cultural life of our community.
