From the country of Georgia, the choreographic ensemble Chveni Shvilebi, will be coming to the Festival for the first time.  Based in the capital city of Tbilisi, these award-winning young dancers, ages 9-14 years old, demonstrate the great professionalism and amazing technique of Georgian national dancing.  Dressed in impressive traditional costume, the children display an extraordinary variety of athletic footwork, leaps and splits including the exciting sword dances.

Also coming to the Festival for the first time, all the way from Udiapur, India will be the children of Bharat Kala Sangam.  Dressed in beautiful costumes, these boys and girls, ages 10-14 years old, will perform the traditional dances of the Rajasthan region of India which include some elaborate feats of balance and movement.

Mexico

Returning this year to the Festival are the young dancers from Folklore Ballet American School of Puebla, Mexico.  These children, ages 8-14, will perform prehispanic dances and folk dances from various Mexican regions.  In traditionally elaborate and colorful costumes, the dancers will present an exciting variety of regional dances, many dating back to ancient Mexican mythology.
